With 7 different locations and 3 retail stores, Dive Friends Bonaire has the biggest dive operation on Bonaire. We have approximately 65 employees.

Dive Friends Bonaire is a PADI 5 Star IDC Center. Divers are trained from beginner to professional level. We introduce guests to the most beautiful dive sites on Bonaire. Our dive shops are open 7 days per week to provide a perfect experience for our guests.

We are a retail dealer, importing and distributing merchandise for all Dive Friends shops and retail stores. In addition, we supply other dive centers with dive equipment and accessories on Bonaire and work closely with various on-island suppliers.

Job Opening: Reservations and Planning Agent – Dive Friends Bonaire

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Reservations and Planning Agent to join our team and help us evolve our planning and reservations processes.

What will you do?

• You will manage customer inquiries and reservations, ensuring responses within Dive Friends Bonaire’s 48-hour policy while maximizing revenue through upselling.

• You’ll develop and adjust staff schedules to balance resources effectively and adapt to changing demands.

• Collaborating with managers and stakeholders, you’ll optimize operations and resolve scheduling or reservation challenges.

• You’ll identify inefficiencies in current planning and reservation workflows, proposing and implementing improvements to make processes more structured, transparent, and efficient.

• You’ll communicate schedules and updates clearly to managers and staff, ensuring everyone has the information they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

• You’ll support the development of digital tools and reporting methods for reservations, planning, and forecasting.

What are we looking for?

• Proven knowledge of the diving industry and PADI standards. Dive Master certification is a plus.

• Proven experience in reservations, planning, or similar roles. Experience in hospitality, diving, or tourism is a plus.

• A process improvement mindset. You’re not afraid to question “how it’s always been done” and introduce better ways of working.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning/scheduling tools.

• Dutch or US nationality due to immigration processes. We will not consider candidates with other nationalities, except if they are already living on Bonaire and have a valid work permit.

What does a typical day entail?

As a Reservations and Planning Agent, your day will involve managing inquiries and bookings through email, WhatsApp, and phone calls from both customers and staff.

Every day is about keeping the operation balanced, efficient, and ready for the unexpected, while driving long-term improvements in how we plan and collaborate.
