With 7 different locations and 3 retail stores, Dive Friends Bonaire has the biggest dive operation on Bonaire. We have approx. 60 employees. Dive Friends Bonaire is a PADI 5 star IDC center. Divers are trained from beginner to professional level. We introduce guests to the most beautiful dive sites on Bonaire. Our dive shops are open 7 days per week to provide a perfect experience for our guests. We are a retail dealer, importing and distributing merchandise for all Dive Friends shops and retail shops. In addition, we supply other dive centers with dive equipment and accessories on Bonaire and work closely with some on-island suppliers.

Do you have a passion for diving, diving equipment & accessories and retail? Take on your next challenge with Dive Friends Bonaire! We’re looking for an enthusiastic and sales driven Dive Retail Sales Employee to join our team.
What will you do?

Help divers and snorkelers find the equipment that best fits their needs, experience, and diving style

Share your product knowledge and advise customers on everything from masks and fins to BCDs, regulators, computers, and accessories

Create a welcoming shopping experience and identify opportunities to recommend complementary products

Stay up to date on new dive gear, brands, and product developments

Keep the store looking attractive, well organized, and fully stocked

Receive and process new products and maintain accurate inventory across our locations

Handle sales, payments, returns, and other daily retail operations

Share customer feedback, product requests, and sales opportunities with the Retail team
What Are We Looking For?

You are a diver with hands-on experience using dive equipment.

You have previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service.

You have a commercial mindset and are motivated by achieving sales results.

You are proactive and comfortable working independently without constant supervision.

You are organized, reliable, and have a strong sense of responsibility.

You are eager to learn and stay up to date with new dive equipment, brands, and developments.

You are flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.

You are fluent in English. Dutch, Spanish, Papiamentu, or other languages are a plus.
What does a typical day entail
The store opens at 8 AM and closes at 5 PM. You start the day together with your colleagues by preparing the store, putting out the flags, opening the cash register, and making sure everything is tidy and fully stocked.
Throughout the day, you welcome customers from around the world and help them find the dive and snorkel equipment that best suits their needs. In between customers, you keep the store organized, restock products, process new inventory, and take care of other daily retail activities.
No two days are exactly the same, but the goal is always to create a welcoming store, provide great service, and make sure our customers leave with the right gear and a smile.
What is the team you will be working with like
We are an international and informal team, brought together by a shared passion for diving. Many of your colleagues are Divemasters and Instructors with plenty of experience diving on Bonaire and around the world, so there is always something new to learn or a dive story to share.
We work closely together, but there is also plenty of room for fun. Don’t be surprised if the workday ends with a drink at a local bar or plans for a dive together on a day off.
